My Advertisement -Magic Broom!
Creating An Advert- Magic-broom!
Advert Analysis of Magic-broom.
This is a very significant scene for a cleaning supply advertisement as after the transition there is a Zoom, following up into a close-up, on the trash. this is when there is a two-shot/ mid-shot to introduce the product Magic Broom; Harry Potter inspired the name because the original inspired theme was gathered from the movie; hence we wanted to have an enchanted touch, the magical side gave the product significance as it made cleaning fun! This manipulation was a form of Ethos (persuasive technique) to ensure credibility.
Throughout the advertisement all the shots were taken on an i phone being held, no steady stands were used but it made it feel more alive with the p.o.v shots, all were angled at eye-level apart from a birds eye view scene of the rubbish being swept away, everything seemed pretty neutral .
Props we included was torn up paper, toilet roll and a broom.
Moreover, The advert included a slogan to end it with the price. It could've been improved with a sound track or music however the voices would've been drowned out. Video editing software was used to filter the scenes, before the magical broom appeared the setting seemed pretty dull, The Hue was decreased for a cold and blue feel, the saturation was decreased to make the appearance of the room come across as unattractive and the actress was appalled at the mess. After Neila came with her cleaning supplies the atmosphere was more positive and they were more enthusiastic to show the product will bring joy, a warm, yellowy filter was applied to show how much better the environment looked/ felt in the aftermath.

Please ensure the video plays! An interesting idea for an advert, and you have attempted to do a textual analysis here and apply media language. Vanessa
